Just in time for the FIFA Club Team World Cup this summer and FIFA World Cup in 2026, Pioneer Square has undergone pedestrian improvements that not only make it more fan friendly but better connect the neighborhood to the new Seattle waterfront. Improvements include narrowing and beautification of several East/West streets for safer more accessible passage and a pedestrian-oriented plaza on Railroad Way leading to the Stadiums.
