New Denny Way bus lane plan aims to improve Route 8 service

Mayor Katie B. Wilson, transit advocates, and community supporters shared details of a new comprehensive plan to build a new bus lane on Denny Way to improve the performance of the heavily-used and frequently-delayed Metro Route #8. Delivering on the commitment made in the mayor’s January Executive Order, planners at the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) revealed a detailed plan to implement bus lanes which will eliminate choke points and provide transit riders faster and more reliable trips throughout the route.
